Too many tools, too few results
Concerning rise in use of tools
Data and analytics are of course critical to CIOs, more than a third ranking their IT investments in it ahead of security and risk management this year, according to CIO.com’s 2020 State of the CIO survey.
What's interesting is that 42% of IT professionals report using more than 10 monitoring tools; 19% use more than 25 tools. That's not to speak of the 50+ tools they require for security! Sadly, the addition of tools is not fixing the issue.
An AIOps approach however is emerging. And it's saving spend on additional tools.
AIOps simplifies this landscape of tools. The AIOps approach in our SmartICT managed service helps organisations that require high application service levels better manage the complexity of their monitoring tools and IT operational workflows. It brings machine learning and automation capabilities to the IT operations domain. It empowers the team to resolve incidents faster, identify operational trends that impact performance, and simplify procedures required to resolve issues.
In one organisation alone, we have shown over R50 million of annual savings and a 92% reduction in tools. Find out more about our SmartICT AIOps approach by having one of our skilled consultants contact you.
